The claim was staked that the Rural Buffer is the cause of the remarkably high cost of housing in Carrboro and Chapel Hill, but the facts show otherwise . . .

One candidate this fall says you can’t get socks in Carrboro because we don’t have a Wal-Mart. I got to thiking, can Wal-Mart really do better than Carrboro’s existing businesses?
